一、说教材
    教材的地位与作用: 
     本节课选自英语人教版八年级下册第七单元,本单元是学习了形容词、副词比较
级的基础上,进一步学习最高级。通过学习地理知识,熟知、练习并掌握最高级。让学
生在完成任务的过程中,运用所学知识进行英语交流,培养运用英语解决实际问题的能力。
既学习了地理知识,又培养学生不畏困难,勇于面对,挑战自我的容纳精神。

二、学情分析
    由于本校的学生来源多数农村或父母是打工人员。知识水平不是很高,对孩子不
能做到很好的灌输地理文化知识。所以提前让同学们通过网络查资料,对本单元的学
习做好准备,看到祖国世界的名山大川,学生们会积极加入学习的。

三、教学目标
(1)Knowledge Objects  

     ① Key Vocabulary   
     ②Target Language 
    ③Structure  Comparative and superlative forms of adj. and adv. 
(2) Ability Objects  
     1. Learn and master the usage of the comparative and superlative forms of adj. and adv. 
     2. Learn some ways of expressing the superlative form of adj. and adv.  3. Use conj. 
while ,that ,even though

      Teach Ss that we should love our beautiful country and never give up trying to achieve 
our dreams in the face of difficulties. 
(4)   Teaching Emphasis   
    Learn and master the usage of the comparative and superlative forms of adj. and adv. 
    Practice ways of reading the passage. 
(5)Teaching Difficulties

     Learn to some ways of expressing the superlative form of adj. and 
    adv. and use them correctly.   
四、教学过程
    1. 速读   (Fast Reading)
    自读文章,在书中划出重点、疑点后,翻译下列短语。先独立完成,后小组                                  商议。

    2. 精读   (Intensive Reading)
    Read the article and match each paragr aph with the main ideas.

    Paragraph 3            facts and dangers
    According to the passage, fill in the blanks.
    3. 朗读   (Loud Reading)
     Read the article again, and answer the following questions.


    1. What a mountain is Himalayas?[来源:学§科§网]


    2. Why is it dangerous to climb Qomolangma?[来源:学*科*网Z*X*X*K]
    3. When did the first Chinese reach the top of Qomolangma? (3) 
Consolidation
    巩固     1. 3b. Read the article again and complete the chart.
    2. Retell the pa ssage according to the questions. 
    1)Where are the Himalayas?   
    2)How high is Qomolangma?   
    3)Why do so many people try to climb this mountain even though it is dangerous?
    4)What does the spirit of the climbers tell us?
    3. 使用“学案”中“自主探究”部分的内容,体验语法以及语言知识点的使用方法。
    1)One of the world’s most dangerous sports is mountain climbing, …
     “one of + the + 形容词的最高级     +  复数名词”,意为“最……之一”。如:
     Miss Wang is one of the most popular teachers in our school.
    王老师是我们学校最受欢迎的老师之一。
    2)It is also very hard to take in air as you get near the top.
     It is + adj. + to do sth., it作形式主语放在句首,而把真正的主语放在句尾。常用

于此句型的形容词有important,          difficult, dangerous, necessary, useful, 
possible等,用来对to do sth.  进行说明。此句型可以转换成To do sth. is + adj.。
    3)Even more serious difficulties include freezing weather conditions and heavy storms.
    difficulty 既可作可数名词也可作不可数名词。作可数名词时通常用复数,表示具
体概念,即:各式各样的            “困难,难题,难事”
    4)The spirit of these climbers shows us that we should never give up trying to achieve 


our dreams. [来源:学|科|网]
      give up 意为“放弃”,后面可以接名词、代词或v-ing形式作宾语。
    注意:如果其宾语是名词,那么名词可以放在                     give 和  up 之间,也可以放在 up 
    之后;如果其宾语是代词,那么代词只能放在                      give 和 up 之间。
    5)Why do so many people try to climb this mountain even though it is dangerous?
    even though 用作从属连词,意为“即使;尽管”,相当于even if,引导让步状语从
句,一般不与并列连词but连用。
    V. Examination
    检测     1. 引导学生小结梳理知识框架、规律、方法,并对合作小组当堂学习情况
进行总结评价,巩固学生所获得的语言知识和经验,让学生在评价中反思,在反思中
进步。
    Ask one of the students to say what they have learnt.
    1)words & phrases   
    2) 短文中的知识点和表达法。
    2. 当堂检测(见学案):教师要随堂进行评价,批改可以由学习小组内互批、组间
互批、集体订正等方法,批阅后教师要统计达标情况,收集反馈信息,当堂矫正补救。

    (8). Assignment
    作业     1. 口头作业:利用早读,朗读或背诵课文,体会过去进行时的含义和用法。

    2. 书面作业:
    1)记忆所学单词、短语或重点句型。
    2)Finish off the exercises in tongbuxuexi.
    3. Preview the new words of Grammar-4c.
