there, and 1 a sharp lookout for the bargains that were something to be had. And then, with

17 you.”

Annie, worried at the thought of being 18 to buy something she didn't 19 , left the

    B 篇:1-5 DCABD 6-10 CBDAC 11-15 DDCDB 16-20 CBDCA

    C 篇:1-5 CCBDA 6-10 BDBBC 11-15 BDCAA 16-20 BACDA

    A 篇:

  1. keep a sharp lookout for

  4. 由定语从句 she liked best 修饰可知,应该用特指 in the way 的形式,意思为:“用她

  5. 选项 B. noisy 和 C. large 有干扰性,但从该句的信息词 found 可知,应该选 A:new。

There was a card on the chair which said ,“This fine chair is yours for less
than a pound a week,”可知,她应该是惊喜地停下来。

  11. 根据文中 A pound a week…

  12. make somebody surprised.。

A voice at her shoulder made her…

  3. on the job

  4. 根据下文的 the company did well 可知 Mr Cleveland 是一位 strong leader。

  6. make one own decision(作出决定)是固定短语。

  9. walk a dog

  15. 根据后面的 a sum of money as a prize 判断答案,提供(offer)一定数量的钱作为奖
赏。

xx。k.Com]

  8. make a fortune = make much money.

I’m definitely the best in the world.
Mary

  12. “Nothing seemed to go right”.

Be frozen to the spot.

  17. 根据后文 very burnt bread.

Promised sb. never to do sth.
